Halloween!!!

This is one of my favorite times of year, aside from Christmas of course!!!

I work at a salon that is inside a little mall. The mall administration actually give candy to each store so that we can hand it out to all the kids that come in! It really is a ton of fun and it makes it a lot easier on the parents who don't want to take there kids out in the cold October evening honestly. My favourite part of the whole thing is handing out candies to all the kids.

This year, we got about 25 kids, but some weren't even dressed up and were very rude. It saddened me a lot to see what Halloween has turned into. We gave out full size chocolate bars and I let the kids chose which ones they wanted and some took more then one, even though I told them to only take one each. They way I remember Halloween was nothing like that.

Although, I have a sneaking suspicion that the reason my Halloweens were so different and exciting had a lot to do with where i grew up. Being from a small town, I was raised a little differently and had a lot of great adventures as a kid. One of those was Halloween. After school we would all go to the community hall and have a fun Halloween party that usually involved food, a costume parade as well as a few games. This event was usually put together by some parent volunteers and then after we went all around town trick or treating! I could hardly wait when I was a kid and honestly, I feel like kids all around just kind of take the candy they receive for granted and it breaks my heart.

I wish they would understand that not all kids get to dress up in a nice costume that their parents bought for them and then receive candy out of the generosity of their neighbours. I hope that when I have kids, I can give them the most exciting experience, like I had has a kid. To this day I love dressing up and there hasn't been a day I haven't.

Now that Halloween is over, time for Christmas.... Don't even get me started on Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!

My Top 5 Actresses!

So, I was thinking the other day about blog posts I could make, and I figured, why not give you my top 5 favourite movies, songs, actors and actresses! So, to start it off.... my top 5....Actresses~ 1. Scarlett Johanssen - I have always loved her, even when I saw her for the first time in Eight Legged Freaks, one of my favourite movies she has been in was Scoop, and of course Iron Man. I did like her in the Avengers, however I felt that she wasn't necessarily the best "Russian" they could have gotten. She did do well as Black Widow though. When her and Ryan Renoylds got married, I was so happy, they seemed like they perfect couple and I really liked them both as actors. She has such a classic look about her, it is wonderful. I feel like the thing with her, is you either LOVE her or you really HATE her! I think she is very unique and a wonderful person for young girls to look up to. 2. Amy Adams- How could you not love this red headed beauty! She is fabulous an...

UFC

Now, I am writing about UFC because a lot of people either LOVE it or they absolutely hate it more then almost anything. Personally, I really enjoy watching it, I wouldn't say that I am a die hard fan, I'll leave that to Bryan and his Dad. However there is something about the hype and the build up and the extreme athleticism that appeals to me. It takes so much skill and work it is astounding to me. The biggest thing is that this isn't just a sport, or a job. This is literally a lifestyle. Training every single day in the gym, working to gain weight or lose weight and preparing months in advance for 1 fight that could make or break their entire career. There is definitely a part of me that has a huge respect for that. First off, let me tell you kind of how it works. There are 8 different weight classes, which means there are 8 different world champions right now. First off, here are the weight classes along with the reining champions right n...
