Keep Calm and Love Your Best Friend

I know throughout life people meet other people and they are special and important to them... But I also hear that you will never love anyone more than yourself until you have children. However what if that isn't true? What if there are people in your life that you do love more than yourself? A person you would do absolutely anything for? I always read about soul mates and just assumed it was romantic; your soul mate would be someone you married or were in love with. Then I met someone who completely changed my who perception of what a soul mate was. I realized that it was someone you had such a strong connection with it felt like you had known them your entire life. I saw this quote: When I saw this picture it was like all the feelings I had built up thrown onto paper. It is something that you can't understand until it has happened to you. That one person that can make everything okay with just a smile, the one person that seems to understand you better than anyone els...

Fat? Chubby? Big boned? A Few Extra Pounds? Whatever Floats your God Damn Boat.

HERE WE GO!!!! So, throughout life I have always been bigger. Now what "bigger" means, I don't really know. To some people I am chubby, to some I am fat and maybe to some I am obese. Now, I know this. I am not blind to the fact that I am not skinny. Of all the people in the world who should know that, it is me. I am the one with the body. For a long time I really hated myself, I didn't think I was pretty or beautiful and when people told me those things I just shrugged it off. I hate getting compliments, I go all blushy and never really know what to do. Obviously I say thank you, but you know! I just cannot believe the pressures that the media puts on women (and men) to be so perfect. My friends, I am going to let you in on a little secret. Perfection does NOT EXIST. The one thing that you can control no matter what? The kind of person you are. Be kind, be generous, be strong, be stubborn, be the very best version of yourself. That is all that matters in the world...

Growing up!

SO! I was thinking, it is always funny to explain to people where and how I grew up. I don't mean I was a Mennonite or adopted or anything lol. But I grew up on a farm in a town of like 200 people. People are shocked when I tell them I went to school and grew up in a town with 3 streets and 3 avenues. Sometimes people will say, "oh my god, you missed out on really living." Well I beg to differ, I wouldn't change anything about where I came from.  I am the person I am today not only because of my family but because of the community I grew up in. I was born in Drumheller, Alberta and lived in a tiny town not to far from there, as you already know I have 2 siblings, a brother and a sister, they are also a heck of a lot older then me, so, I almost grew up as an only child. I lived on an acreage with my mama because my dad worked in the city, so he lived there during the week. It was just the two of us, I think that's why we have such a great relationship. I went t...

Newfoundland!!!!

So, obviously I haven't written since Christmas.... Well that is because I was to busy surprising my best friend who lives in Newfoundland!!! Its kind of confusing, because I have 2 best friends named Becca haha. I have the one who also has the blog and then the other one who moved away =( Anyways, at about the beginning of December I really decided that I wanted to go surprise her. So, I looked online for tickets and messaged her Mom!! I needed some allies. So, throughout December I slowly figured out all the details, I got my tickets, figured out who was going to pick me up from the airport and everything. So, on Christmas day we skyped and she said how much she missed everyone here and how all she really wanted was to see a familiar face.... I could hardly contain my excitement. I almost spilled the beans once or twice. Finally the 28th had arrived and I had my flight was set for 12:05 am. My mom drove me to the airport and I was finally home free...... figuratively speak...

Christmas Shopping

So,  Bryan and I usually have it pretty lucky when it comes to Christmas Shopping. We have my 3 nephews and my neice, his little brother and our parents. Now to some that may seem like a lot, however when you have a family the size of a small community...(no joke). It is heavenly! Saves a lot of money. Seeing as how in our family, once you have kids, you buy presents for them instead of the parents. So, Bryan decided that we are gonna hold off on having kids. So, we can get presents still. Brilliant right? My neice and nephews are pretty easy to buy for too! Seeing as how my sisters just tell me exactly what they want this year. We hot my neice the new Tinkerbell Movie, which I am kind of jealous of. Not gonna lie.... I LOVE TINKERBELL!! Who doesnt? Although she is kind of bitchy and slutty to be honest. Oh well! We love her for her flaws... hehe. Then my oldest nephew is getting the Avengers from us! =) That is one of Bryans favorites!!!! My other two nephews are getting Ninte...

Let me Introduce to You....

Where did I leave off..... Oh yeah!!! I am engaged to a wonderful, guy who is my best friend. He is so very sweet and romantic! Though anyone who knows him may not think soo!! Our  wedding date is set for September 21, 2013! Its actually come up soo quick and I am starting to get very excited! I got my dress in June and I kind of forget what it looks like!!!! It soo pretty and white though, I can't go into to much detail just in case "he" reads it! But,  I will share soon enough. =) I went dress shopping with my Maid of Honour this last Saturday looking for dresses for all of my bridesmaids. At the beginning, I actually thought that maybe we would have to do all different dresses, only because my bridesmaid, are all such different shapes and sizes it is wild! We started out the day and she tried on a few short ones (which is what i wanted originally), but i just kept getting pulled towards the long ones, quite surprisingly. We found  a couple of dresses, and ...
