Things I Have Done Lately.... SO!

So, in these last few weeks, or month I suppose, I have decided I wanted to add some things to my body hahah. That sounded silly. I meant, tattoos or piercings. SO. I decided to show them to everyone!!!


First off, I got my tragus pierced. I have always thought it looks cool but I thought it would hurt SO badly. I finally built up the courage to go and do it! It didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would which is nice but it definitely wasn't pleasant. It isn't healed yet, and it does take awhile to heal but hopefully it will be soon. It doesn't hurt anymore which is nice! ;)



The next thing I decided to get was my tattoo!! Now I took the time and looked at alot of different quotes and images that I wanted. I knew I wanted it on my right forearm for personal reasons but I just needed to decide what exactly I wanted to get done. I found this quote: 

I loved it right from the start but I wasn't sure how exactly I would get it done. I chose this quote because of all of the stuff that has been going on in my life and it just kind of felt like a bit of a reminder that I can get through whatever life throws at me, and I have the strength that I need. 

I then looked around and found this picture that I liked: 

I loved the idea of the dandelion and the birds. I thought it was beautiful and symbolized kind of breaking free and just flying. So all and all I put the quote and the dandelion idea together and this is what happened.....





I do love my tattoo and it has a great meaning, there is one that people can read and understand and then there is one that is just for me and that's all that matters. I am very happy with it =) and it didn't hurt at all to be really honest with you!!!!



Next I got my eyebrow pierced just because lol. 


This is how it looks! I really like it actually and most people didn't even notice because they thought I had it the whole time!!! Over this past month I have thought well why not!!!

First Things First!

My name is Shelby. I am a indecisive 20 year old from Alberta! I was born and raised in Alberta, I am from a teeny tiny town that no one has ever heard of. So,  half the time I don't even tell people. It just creates a big mess of trying to explain where it is and the other person truly thinking that it is somewhere in Siberia.  I was born on January 25th , to two people who have been together for about 26 years now! Never married though, just engaged =) It is sooo confusing trying to explain to people my parents situation! We have 2 houses, because my Dad works in the city 6 days out of the week. Everyone just assumes my parents are divorced, seeing as how they don't get to live together and they have different last names! Miss me?!

Hello, you beautiful and wonderful people! Well it seems it has been awhile since I wrote last and I honestly cannot believe it has been over 8 years since I started this blog, man, if I had kept up it would have been amazing.... But seeing as how I haven't written in 2 years, it is not so miraculous.  Anywho, I have been trying to focus more on self care these days and I remember how much I enjoyed writing in here. So... What's new? Uhmm I want to take the easy way out and say nothing but it has been 2 years, so obviously something is new! 1. I called it quits with my B.Ed for honestly, a lot of different reasons. 2. I went back to doing hair - who would have thought! 3. I went through a really hard breakup and a broken heart. 4. I met the most wonderful human. 5. I dealt with a lot of death. 6. I am starting to figure myself out. Well, where shall we start to elaborate on any of that... How about school...  Well, I did almost 2 years of school and it was hard....
